Governor's Mansion Tour and Lunch

The governor’s residence was built between 1929-1931 and purchased by the state in 1948.  Join us for a guided
tour of the mansion “dressed up” for the holiday season.  The tour will be approximately 45 minutes with minimal
stairs.  We will have lunch at Sylvan Park. Van: $3. Tour is limited.  Reservations required.

Catfish & Christmas

Travel to the Opryland Hotel area and enjoy a unique southern style catfish dinner at the Caney Fork Fish
Camp.  After dinner we will walk through the spectacular  holiday decorations at the Opryland Hotel.

FiftyForward is having a center-wide event for the holidays.  We will travel to our Donelson Station center and enjoy entertainment by an Elvis impersonator and have lunch at their café.   This will give Martin members the chance to meet folks from the other centers.

Hermitage Tour

Take advantage of a free day at Andrew Jackson’s home, The Hermitage.  We will watch an introductory film at the
Andrew Jackson visitor center, tour the exhibits,  the mansion and visit Alfred’s Cabin.   Of course, we will stop by the Museum store.  We will then have lunch at Famous Dave’s BBQ.

in Spring Hill

Many have wondered where our massage therapist, Kathy McFarlane, finds all of her “goodies” at a cheap price.  So, let’s travel to Spring Hill and shop till you drop.  After shopping, we will eat lunch at Logan’s Roadhouse.

Culinary Demonstration and Tasting with Chef Tom

Visit Nashville State Community College Culinary class lead by Culinary Director Chef Tom Loftis. 
We will be guests of Chef Tom’s Advanced Bakery and Pastry class.   Sampling goodies at the end of the class followed by a question and answer session.

On the Road Again Day Trips   
Dutchtown Farms : Hohenwald, TN

Join us as we take a guided tour hayride of the farm at 11:00 am. Come and see the llamas, alpacas, fainting goats,
chickens, guineas, horses, rabbits, turkeys, and live scarecrows!  There will be a BIG pumpkin patch with a pumpkin
for everyone. *Lunch will be on your own at the Junkyard Dog at 1:00pm.  After lunch,  be sure to visit the large junk store for which Hohenwald is famous, the antique store, or the Lewis County Museum of Natural History  ($3 fee)
Bus pick up at Martin – 8:30 am. Cost is $25 per person. $5 extra for non-members.  $5 entrance fee to Dutchtown Farm. Your payment is due at the time of registration.
